DCT Engine with Camera Link Interface (DECLI) is an integrated Camera Link Interface and DCT based image compression solution. It can provide interface to any industry standard mono chrome camera (CLI) and compress data by a fixed compression ratio of 32:1 (lossy) and out put the compressed data in serial, HDLC, parallel and PCM formats.
DECLI interfaces to the CLI compliant monochrome camera and collects the video data and further feed to the DCT engine for generating DCT coefficients. The coefficients are further filtered by the system control unit block in the FPGA for achieving the expected compression ratio. The filtered coefficients are further packed in the required format and transmitted out by the output block. The core supports transmission of compressed data in Serial, Parallel, HDLC and PCM formats.
